Indigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP)
Centrecorp Foundation makes a beneficial and ongoing difference to the lives of Aboriginal people in Central Australia in many different ways.
One of those ways has been to inform Aboriginal boarding students about the Indigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP), which the National Apprentice & Employment Network (NAEN) is running in Alice Springs in partnership with GTNT.
The program has two main goals;
- Supporting businesses to build their capacity to employ and retain Indigenous young people.
- Helping young people gain meaningful employment opportunities.
Connecting your child with opportunities such as:
- Industry exposure tours – meeting potential employers and exploring career paths.
- Leadership development workshops – building confidence and skills for the workplace.
- Work preparation programs – helping young people secure casual jobs while in school and transition into full-time employment after graduation.

Irrkerlantye/White Gate Solar Power Plant
Irrkerlantye/White Gate residents celebrate two years of having power thanks to Centrecorp Foundation providing $320,000 in June 2023 for a solar power plant to provide community lighting, PV power, storage batteries along with a diesel generator backup.
The system delivers power to each residence using the equivalent approach to a powered caravan/camp site.
February 28/02/25 Board Meeting
At their February monthly meeting on 28/02/25 the Centrecorp Board met and assessed 34 applications for funding of which 29 were approved and 4 declined due to household income or poor school attendance.
Of the 33 applications, 20 were for private school scholarships, 11 were for sporting events for youth, 2 for sporting equipment for community teams and 1 was for electrical goods.
The Centrecorp Foundation Board have sent a strong message that our funding is contingent on parents maintaining a high level of attendance at school.
It is well understood that that good attendance leads to students achieving their full academic potential. We are therefore focusing on attendance for continued funding.
