Centrecorp Foundation is proud to welcome Damon Chong as our new Stakeholder and Community Engagement Officer.
In this role, Damon will lead our efforts to strengthen Centrecorp’s profile, build collaborative partnerships with agencies supporting Aboriginal people, and deepen our engagement with remote Central
Australian towns and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Management - Identify and develop strategic partnerships with government, non‑government, and community‑controlled organisations servicing Aboriginal people.
- Remote Outreach - Serve as the primary point of contact for remote communities, ensuring Centrecorp’s social impact investments reach under‑served regions.
- Agency Liaison - Coordinate regular meetings with service providers across health, education, and legal sectors to identify opportunities for joint social impact initiatives.
- Visibility & Awareness - Represent Centrecorp at regional forums, meetings, and cultural events to promote our mission and investment outcomes.
- Feedback & Advisory - Gather community insights and provide advice to the Board to ensure social impact funds are directed where they are most needed.
- Funding Application Support - Assist individuals and agencies to prepare applications for Centrecorp funding.
- Reporting - Collect and analyse data to demonstrate Centrecorp’s social impact across Central Australia.

Damon is a proud Alyawarr, Central and Eastern Arrernte man, born and raised in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). With strong cultural and community connections, he brings a deep commitment to creating positive opportunities for Aboriginal people throughout Central Australia. His passion for community‑driven outcomes and his understanding of local needs make him a valuable addition to the Centrecorp team.
