At their February monthly meeting on 28/02/25 the Centrecorp Board met and assessed 34 applications for funding of which 29 were approved and 4 declined due to household income or poor school attendance.
Of the 33 applications, 20 were for private school scholarships, 11 were for sporting events for youth, 2 for sporting equipment for community teams and 1 was for electrical goods.
The Centrecorp Foundation Board have sent a strong message that our funding is contingent on parents maintaining a high level of attendance at school.
It is well understood that that good attendance leads to students achieving their full academic potential. We are therefore focusing on attendance for continued funding.
